Working as Design Lead on this international project I've helped guide the build from wireframes through design and into launch. Using a few basic guiding principles to help shape the direction of the website with particular interest in the user checkout journey.
Using Hicks law as a principle to establish focus on products and prioritise the journey through checkout ensures that focus remains on links to product pages and journey through to checkout. Especially important in the mobile environment, utilising every opportunity to get the user through to checkout or a product purchasing opportunity. The majority of the content has to focussed on customer education and direction, making sure they know exactly what device they need and where to find the appropriate cartridges.
